Report of Online Soft Skill & Grooming session

Smt Hiraben Nanavati Institute of Management had organized a four day online Soft Skill & Grooming session for MBA 2^nd year Students. These sessions were organized and coordinated by the Soft skill grooming cell of HNIMR. The scheduled days were 6^th Sept’2021 to 9^th Sept’2021. Every day it was scheduled for 2 hrs, ie : 10am to 12pm.

On 6^th Sept’2021 the session was taken by Mr. Soham Dadarkar. He is founder of Soham Dadarkar Academy and he delivered on “Public Speaking through Storytelling”. He emphasized following points during sessions – understand the presentation, how to plan your presentation, slides and tools to make a presentation, examples and practice related the same and deliver through the narration of a story.

The second day ie: 7^th Sept’2021 was engaged by Mr Rohit Ghosh. He is co-founder of Skill edge, an Ed-Tech platform. He emphasized Job vs Career, Skills, Non- verbal communication, questions asked in interview, non-verbal communication for online work.

Third day’s session was taken by Ms. Ketaki Mistry on 8^th Sept’2021.She is founder and Strategic Designer of The Image Consulting Studio.She spoke  about self-image, its characteristics, development level of self, the 3A mantra’s – accept, adjust, alter of body image. Mam explained the importance of first impression and its 4 elements- clothing, grooming, communication and body language, where students were enlightened with dressing, makeup tips during interview.

And the last day ie: 9^th Sept’2021 the session was taken by Ms. Ashvini Toley on “Art of Effective Communication”. She is Director of Avani’s Learning Centre .She elaborated on the basic principles of making your communication strong and impactful. She also helped the students by role play to visualize the impact and then rectifying them.
