Training and Corporate Relations

The Training & Placement Cell at HNIMR successfully conducted a comprehensive and strategically designed series of academic, industry-oriented, and skill development initiatives during the academic year 2025-2026. These initiatives were meticulously planned with the objective of enhancing students’ employability, strengthening their industry readiness, and developing their overall professional competencies in alignment with current corporate expectations.

The academic journey commenced in August 2025 with a strong emphasis on foundational skill development and professional grooming. A series of sessions focusing on personality development, communication skills, and employability enhancement were conducted for MBA students under the expert guidance of Col. Bhatia. These sessions played a crucial role in building confidence, improving interpersonal communication, and preparing students for professional environments. Alongside soft skill development, equal importance was given to technical proficiency through workshops on Advanced Excel, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence in Industry. These sessions enabled students to gain exposure to modern technological tools and practices, ensuring alignment with rapidly evolving industry trends. Additionally, assessment-based learning was integrated through platforms such as TCS iON and First Naukri NCAT, allowing students to evaluate their aptitude, identify improvement areas, and benchmark their readiness for competitive placement processes.

In September 2025, the focus shifted towards career planning, self-awareness, and structured mentorship. Seminars on Business Communication and SWOT Analysis were conducted to help students understand their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, thereby facilitating informed career decisions. Mentorship initiatives such as the “Mentor To Go” and “Mentor Together” programs were introduced, providing students with continuous guidance, industry insights, and personalized career support. The learning experience was further enriched through hands-on workshops such as Advanced Analytics, which strengthened analytical thinking and practical application skills. Students also engaged with industry-relevant simulations via the Tata Forage platform, gaining experiential learning opportunities that mirrored real-world corporate scenarios. Furthermore, industry interaction was significantly enhanced through fireside chats and expert sessions, where professionals shared valuable insights into corporate culture, expectations, and emerging industry trends.

The months of October and November 2025 were dedicated to deepening functional knowledge and enhancing awareness of workplace dynamics. Special emphasis was placed on design thinking, HR competencies, and workplace wellness. Certification programs and HR knowledge series sessions were conducted to provide in-depth understanding of human resource functions and emerging roles in the field. Sessions focusing on workplace well-being highlighted the importance of mental health and work-life balance in professional settings. Initiatives such as the NWORX AI platform orientation equipped students with exposure to AI-driven performance enhancement tools, while mock interview sessions provided practical training in interview handling, boosting students’ confidence and preparedness. The institute also strengthened its global engagement through collaborations with organizations such as IFCCI and the Wadhwani Foundation, which contributed through specialized training programs, bootcamps, and skill-building initiatives, thereby adding significant value to the overall learning experience.

As the academic year progressed into 2026, the Training & Placement Cell intensified its efforts by introducing long-duration and immersive training programs. These included structured modules in Communication Skills, Data Analytics, and HR Immersion, designed to provide in-depth knowledge and sustained skill development. Students were also given opportunities to participate in industry-recognized initiatives such as the AWS re/Start program and the 21st Century Skills program by the Reliance Foundation, which enhanced their technical expertise and employability in competitive job markets. To ensure holistic placement preparation, dedicated workshops on resume building, LinkedIn profile optimization, and interview techniques were conducted. These sessions equipped students with essential tools to effectively present themselves to recruiters and build strong professional networks. Continuous engagement with industry experts was maintained through regular fireside chats, webinars, and interactive sessions, effectively bridging the gap between academic learning and corporate expectations.

Overall, the structured, systematic, and multi-dimensional initiatives undertaken by the Training & Placement Cell at HNIMR reflect the institute’s unwavering commitment to nurturing well-rounded management graduates. By integrating technical training, soft skill development, industry exposure, and continuous assessment, the institute has ensured that students are not only academically proficient but also professionally competent. These efforts have significantly contributed to enhancing students’ employability and preparing them to excel in a dynamic and competitive corporate environment.
