HNIMR’s Community Development Cell organized an outreach and awareness program at Ganesh Immersion point near Tree House Karvenagar , Pune On 24th Sept 2026. The session targeted a devotees at the venue.s The session was conducted by Mrs.Bhargavi, Ms Tanaya and MS. Mansi Joshi. offered an in-depth presentation on waste management .As part of its commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement, the Community Development Cell of HNIMR organized a Waste Management Awareness Activity during the Ganesh Immersion festival. The activity aimed to educate citizens about responsible waste disposal practices and promote environmental consciousness during one of the largest public celebrations in Maharashtra.Students actively participated by preparing and displaying informative posters at immersion sites and interacting with devotees to spread awareness regarding segregation of waste, reduction of plastic usage, and proper disposal of festival-related waste.
Students designed creative and informative posters carrying messages on waste segregation, plastic-free celebrations, eco-friendly immersion practices, and cleanliness drives. The posters were displayed at strategic locations near Ganesh immersion routes and immersion points.The student volunteers interacted with devotees, explained the significance of proper waste disposal, and encouraged the use of designated waste collection bins. The activity helped create awareness among community members regarding their role in maintaining a clean and sustainable environment during festive celebrations.
