Report of Business Plan Competition

On 22nd March 2024, our institution’s ‘Innovation, Incubation and Start-up cell’ had organized a ‘Business Plan Competition’ for students of MBA. A total of 7 groups participated and there were unique business ideas which were presented from Arts to Food. The esteemed guest and judge for the event was ‘Mr. Suren Kulkarni’ who is an entrepreneur and a Growth Strategist.

Business Plan CompetitionThe Competition started with a group presentation (Anjali Thorat, Arya Inamdar, Pratiksha Ponde and Sakshi Dombe). Their business proposal was about Street Artists. They are trying to create platforms for street artists. ‘Art rue’ refers to every art under one roof, it’s basically about B2C i.e. business to consumer business model.

The Second Group (Janhavi Naikade and Ishwari Shinde) presented their business plan on ‘Anubhava’ which is a village tourism business. Their vision is bringing peace to hectic lives through nature and village serenity and their mission is empowering villages through profitable, eco-friendly ventures. They highlighted their focus which is to provide mental peace to their lives and they’re also going to provide not only stay facilities but also taking care of their hygiene and cleanliness. Additionally, they are also going to provide people/guests with the traditional cuisine of that village.

“Satvik Santushti” is a business plan presented (by Shaili Singh, Rutuja Pawar, and Madhuri Patil) in the business plan competition, offering a modern twist to the traditional dish of kichdi. With the tagline “Adhunik Anubhav Prachin Swaad,” the venture aims to provide a contemporary culinary experience while preserving the authentic flavors of the past. The concept revolves around offering healthy and nutritious options to customers, aligning with the principles of Satvik food. Through innovation and a focus on quality ingredients, Satvik Santushti seeks to redefine the perception of khichdi and cater to the evolving tastes of consumers.

Finally, we had the last participant (Manali Panshikar) who presented a business plan of a company named ‘Shubh Sankalp Event Planners’. It was the idea that provides a platform to collaborate all the event management companies, small vendors, individual entrepreneurs, and customers. The platform i.e. website is to be designed in such a way that everyone can promote their businesses and services and products provided by them. And the website helps them to compare the prices of two services providers at a time for effective decision making and recommends other related services based on the location. The team of the company helps customers to organize flawless events from birthday celebrations to corporate events. It helps businesses to network and generate customers.

The   competition concluded with Vote Of Thanks, the winners names were announced and on 3rd position we had Manali Panshikar, 2nd prize goes to Janhavi Naikade and Ishwari Shinde and 1st position was acquired by Anjali Throat, Pratiksha Ponde, Arya Inamdar and Sakshi Dombe.

The judge, Suren Sir also provided all the students a piece of information about how one can present a proper business plan and what are the does and don’ts while preparing any Business Plan. Overall, the competition provided everyone with a well-rounded educational experience that not only equips the students with practical business skills but also instills in them the values of integrity, innovation, and social responsibility.
