HNIMR Library Rules
  • A computerized I-card will be issued to each student.
  • The issue will be for a period of 7 days.
  • Without I-Card students are not allowed to enter in the library.
  • Each student will get the books issued only against her I-Card. Readers should in their own interest present themselves personally for borrowing and returning books from and to the library.
  • Students are not allowed to sub-lend books belonging to the library, to any other person.
  • Each student will get five books + two Journals/ Magazines + one CD (total eight) at a time. Current issue of the Journal/Magazine will not be issued out of the Library. Additional reading material for any special reason may be issued on written permission of the Director or Librarian.
  • Project Reports and Theses are only for reference and will not be issued out of the Library.
  • A student can get the books reissued for the next 7 days only if there is no demand against the same. Journals, Magazines and CD will not be reissued.
  • All books should be returned on or before the last date stamped on the due date slip of the concerned books.
  • All books must be returned in time otherwise an overdue charge of Rs.5.00 per book per day will be charged. Sundays and holidays will also be considered as late days for calculation of fine. Students should sign in the fine register after paying overdue charges.
  • Students will not be allowed to take reference books at home. These can be issued for reference in reading hall against the I- Card. Reference book should be returned on the same day on which it is issued, otherwise fine of Rs.10 per book per day will be charged.
  • Before getting a book issued, the borrower should check the condition of the book and satisfy herself as to whether the book lent to her is in proper condition. If the book is found damaged/defective in any respect or the pages are torn or missing, she must inform the librarian immediately. Should the books be found damaged while receiving back, the borrower returning it will be held responsible for its replacement at her cost.

In case of damage or loss of a book or Journal, the member shall be required to replace the book or pay the cost of replacement as well as library dues.  Replacement cost will mean the latest price & latest edition of the book.  In case the book is out of print, the member shall be required to pay five times the cost.

  • Every user before leaving the library should strictly show all the documents on the transaction counter that he/she is carrying.
  • The books should be handled with care and placed in proper order.
  • Each user should ensure proper use of Digital Library with respect to content and resources. Also handle digital Library equipment with care. Refer the instructions of Digital Library displayed in the Digital Library section.
  • Complete silence and discipline should be observed in the Library and Reading Room.
  • Use of mobile phone is strictly prohibited in the Library and Reading room.
  • Eating is strictly prohibited in the Library and Reading Room. After using the reading room, please keep the chairs in proper order and switch off the lights and fans after use.
  • Students have to keep their bags and personal material in the space provided for the same at the entrance of the library at their own risk. Students are advised not to keep their valuable things inside the bag. Library staff will not be responsible for the loss or damage of students belongings.
  • If the I-card is lost, a new I-card can be issued by paying a fine of Rs.100/- in the accounts department and submitting the receipt of the same to the Librarian.
  • Every reader must sign visitor register on entering and leaving the library and enter required details.
  • All the passing out students have to fill up a “no dues form” and get the clearance certification from the Librarian for deposit refund.
  • Library Rules may be amended or altered as & when necessary.

IT (Information Technology) has brought about significant improvements in Business operations and in the entire human life as whole. In the era of globalization and anytime anywhere business, improved skills of IT has become integral need of business organization. All the students irrespective of their core domain need to possess essential IT knowledge. IT-enabled teaching & learning, self-paced learning etc. are also need of an hour. Therefore HNIMR focuses on state-of-art IT infrastructure not only in computer labs but also in classrooms, placement cell, common facilities, auditoriums, conference hall etc.
HNIMR aims to prepare Students for today’s corporate world by giving them real-life experience. In this context Institute strives to align with rapidly changing technology in terms of IT facilities and related environment. HNIMR’s IT Department organizes several training sessions, certificate courses in association with corporate viz. Advanced Excel, Tally, MS Project, ERP, CASE Tools etc.

The blended learning with e-learning is playing a vital role in empowerment of students and enriching their knowledge. HNIMR is keen to provide ICT facilities for teaching and learning and its allied activities keeping itself with the pace of current and emerging trends of learning with E-learning.

Introduction

The Institute has full-fledged Research department affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University to promote research and consultancy related activities. The centre was established on 26th September-2002. Administrative help, academic assistance, financial support and execution autonomy is given to researchers for smooth progress and implementation of research/live projects in collaboration with industry and Board of Deans (Previously called as Board of College and University Development). Institute has received grants from Board of Deans (Previously called as Board of College and University Development) for various research projects. Also, the institute regularly conducts workshops and conferences on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and industry academia practices. The institute motivates faculty members and students to publish their research work in reputed journals and conferences. Institute has also stated code of ethics to check malpractices and plagiarism in research. Institute has created ecosystem for transfer of knowledge.

The programme is designed by the SP Pune University to train participants in business management through excellent research guides. AIMS have supervisors with special experience to guide, encourage and advise students on preparing their written thesis.

HNIMR research centre is equipped with very good support from its rich Library Infrastructure wherein, statistical analysis and data management solution –Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) and a comprehensive database EBSCO is available.

The Plagiarism Software has been made available in the library to facilitate the students. We have membership of the British Library

Objective of HNIMR Research Centre is to:

  • To provide rigorous and high-class training in Research Methodology using contemporary management topics and utilizing appropriate qualitative and quantitative methods
  • To encourage participants to contribute to the body of knowledge through presentations and publications of international standard.
  • To Produce research scholars with exceptional research aptitude to cater to the needs of academia and industry

Apart from above initiatives regular processes like enrolling the Ph.D. Research candidates, scheduling and conducting their Interviews through the Expert Panel constituted by the SPPU, registration process, arranging the Proposal Submission Presentation, 6 six monthly progress report presentations, Pilot &  Literature Review Presentation, Pre-Ph.D. Submission Viva at the Research Centre. Supporting the Faculty-wise Coursework Program allocated the respective Centre, declared by SPPU. The Research Centre actively mediates between the Research Guides, the Ph.D. Research Students and SPPU

HNIMR Library is a fully automated Information and Resource Centre. It is a well-stocked library with pleasant interiors and good ventilation. SLIM 21 Library Automation Software is used for all library operations. DDC (Dewey decimal classification) Scheme is used to classify all the documents of library subject wise. Library strives to develop, organize and maintain a collection of books, journals, etc. and other reading materials needed to meet the information, research, instructional and related needs of the users. With network facilities, the bibliographic details of all library documents can be accessed through WEB OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) throughout the institute. Library has collection of over 27629 books and subscription to over 54 excellent national and international journals and magazines. Library has subscribed to 11119 e-books and e-resources (EBSCO database) that helps users to acquire knowledge on wide range of topics. Access to Shodhganga – a reservoir of Indian Theses and NDLTD (Networked Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations) resources is also provided by EBSCO. Theses, Project Reports and Bound Volumes are also stacked separately for users.

There is a separate reading hall for users with around 100 seating capacity. There is biometric attendance system to measure the footfalls of the library. E-resources are available in campus for users, which can be easily accessed in Digital Library and through Internet and Wi-Fi throughout the campus. Remote access facility is provided to users to access e-resources like EBSCO database and e-books subscribed by the Institute. EBSCO resources can accessed remotely through mobile app.

Library has membership of Jaykar Knowledge Resource Centre, SPPU, Pune. Library is also a member of National Digital library of India with registered Club on NDL. Community development is a holistic approach for overall development of students. At HNIMR, CD cell organizes drives to inculcate value of giving towards community through collective contribution. In association with Jankalyan Blood Bank, Pune, blood donation drives are organized by Samstha with an aim to create awareness among students and staff members about importance saving life of needy people. Tree planation is carried out every year ti imbibe sense of obligation towards green environment. It also gives message of giving something back cleaner environment and making little contribution towards environment. Earn & Learn scheme of SPPU is implemented for creating platform for earning while pursuing education. Community development considers values, knowledge and wisdom. Community development programs are led by community development committee members and volunteer students at every stage from planning to implementation. Students directly involved in community development initiatives may benefit from an increase in skills, knowledge, empowerment and experience.

  1. To focus and motivate students to get acquaint with community development programs.
  2. To encourage students to carry out social activities like tree plantation, blood donation drive etc .
  3. To organize blood donation camps for students and staff members.

Introduction:

Physical Education is an integral part of the total education system. It helps in the attainment of the ultimate aim of education i.e. the achievement of holistic development. Games and Sports play a vital role in the student’s life. A student should study hard to be successful in competitive examinations. But, he should also play games and sports to enjoy the health and vigour of life. Along with bookish learning, a student should spend his time on games and sports also. A person experiences a good quality of breathing because of Sports. Sport is certainly an excellent tool to build self-confidence. Playing Sports increases confidence to talk properly. A sport certainly improves the skills of communicating with others.

Objectives:

  • To encourage the sport culture among college students.
  • To inspire students to participate in various sports activities to improve their physical fitness and mental strength.
  • To develop the sportsman spirit to become a good human being.
  • To involve the faculty members in order to support and encourage the students in sports.
  • To provide the platform to students for practical exposure to the application of managerial skills such as leadership, planning, coordinating, control, direction, motivation etc.

 

This year HNIMR celebrated the Annual Sports Event “Abhyudaya” on 13th & 14th March 2024 with great enthusiasm. The programme began with the inaugural speech of Dr. Surya Ramdas, Director of HNIMR. The Director Madam made aware of the importance of sports in daily life & motivated everyone to participate in various sports competitions. There were different types of indoor & outdoor games held under the annual sports Event 2024 in which total of 200 entries was enrolled in all events. We are also participating in intercollegiate tournaments held by other colleges.
