Annabhau Sathe Jayanti was celebrated in HNIMR on 1st August 2026, marking the 106th birth anniversary of the legendary folk poet and social reformer. The event featured floral tributes, followed by readings of Anna bahu literature and Shahiri by Students to give him tribute. Annabhau Sathe was given the title of “Lok Shahir” by the people because he gave voice to the feelings, sorrows, struggles and dreams of the common man through his literature. So This day was celebrated as Lekhan Prerana Din to honor his literary.
Director of HNIMR Dr. Priyanka Singh motivated students to enrich their literature by inculcating habit of reading such great writer’s literature.
