As a part of Induction Program September 2024 – EBSCO E-Books Training Session was conducted on 16-09-24 for First Year MBA students. Mr. Gaurav Date, Training Specialist – (West India) from EBSCO Information Services was the resource person for the session.
The purpose of the session was to enhance to the use of e-books among MBA students and to show the various benefits of using e-books for academics and general reading.
Following points were covered during the session
- How to create Personalized Account.
- Basic Search / Advanced Search
- Various Filters & Expanders
- Download, Print, Email, Cite, Export PDF files, Export in Various Bibliographic formats.
- Create Email Alerts for search
- Chapter-wise download of E-books in PDF & E-PUB.
- Full download of the E-books.
- Q&A round.
It was a very informative and useful session for the students as the trainer focused on how to access EBSCO e-books in campus and remotely anywhere outside the Campus. He engaged the students with Q&A. Prizes were distributed to students after a short quiz. It was an interactive session. Students were motivated to use e-books to a maximum extent for their academics and general reading
Overall session was coordinated by Librarian Mrs. Manjushree Nawale under the guidance of Director Dr. Surya Ramdas.
