Union Budget Analysis

The Smt. Hiraben Nanavati Institute of Management & Research for Women (HNIMR) organized a specialized analysis of the recently announced Union Budget 2026-27. The keynote address was delivered by Nivedita Kamble, Co-founder of BizBirth India Pvt Ltd, who focused on the budget’s “nine priorities” for generating opportunities, specifically emphasizing MSME support and the abolition of the angel tax to boost startups. The session was graced by Chief Guest Mrs. Bhagyashree Manthalkar, a Senate Member, and Honorable Guest Manisha Tai Ladkat,. While the session focused on macro-economic trends like the targeted fiscal deficit of 4.3% of GDP, it also touched upon grassroot developments such as the Nari Shakti initiative and urban infrastructure projects. The speakers highlighted the importance of the new SME Growth Fund and reforms in the direct tax regime, which aims for greater simplicity and readability. Despite varying levels of technical detail from the guests, the session provided a holistic view of India’s path toward Viksit Bharat. This academic gathering successfully bridged the gap between complex parliamentary documents and their real-world impact on women’s management education.

This event was organised under the guidance of Dr. Priyanka Singh Director, and coordinated by Prof. Ranjana Gogate, Coordinator of Certificate Course Cell
