The Community Development Cell (CDC) of MKSSS’s Smt. Hiraben Nanavati Institute of Management and Research for Women (HNIMR), Pune organized an Origami – Paper Craft Activity for School Children at Mahatma Gandhi Vasahat, Shivajinagar Slum Area, Pune. The Session was designed to bring creative joy and experiential learning to underprivileged students by introducing them to the art of folding paper. The 23 children participated enthusiastically in creating various paper models such as flowers, stars etc using colorful origami sheets.
Six student volunteers of HNIMR and two faculty members guided the children step-by-step and encouraged them to explore their imagination and teamwork. The activity not only helped the children develop coordination, patience and focus but also created a positive learning environment filled with laughter and curiosity. The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Priyanka Singh (Director, HNIMR) and coordinated by Dr. Kamlakar Munde and Prof. Ranjana Gogate.
Learning Outcome:- Enhanced creativity, focus and hand-eye coordination among the children and promoted self-expression, patience, and teamwork through art.
