HNIMR – Training and Placement Cell – Soft Skill Sessions

Management refers to both an art and a science of attaining goals via people. Management involves supervising i.e. looking over what other people do and ensuring that they do what they should be doing. HNIMR is always keen towards the development of students. Even though in 2020 we all are under the pandemic situation the Training and Placement cell of HNIMR is trying to get students a good corporate exposure. By connecting the students with technologies we have tried to organize a three day soft skill webinar session.

Day one – 28th September 2020 | 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Skill is an important factor in a career process. The Training and Placement cell of HNIMR came up with an idea of arranging a session on skill inventory and management. To bring out the innovative ideas out of each students mind, the training and placement cell of HNIMR invited C.A Sonali Saripalli the Founder at SmartComm, Complete Solution for Coaching and Training needs of Finance students. She approached students, making them understand skill is something that helps you abruptly tackle some situation easily. C.A Mrs. Saripalli proceeded by quoting thatSoft skills are increasingly becoming the hard skills of today’s workforce. Since each is an essential element for organizational and personal success, developing these skills is very important and does matter… a lot! She concluded her session by sharing a platform named skill connect where students can work on their skills and achieve positive insights to keep acing in this globalized world. The session ended with clearing doubts of the students which were answered by the honorable speaker and a vote of thanks.

Day two 29th September 2020 | 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Leaders have definite ideas and strategies and can easily explain these ideas to employees and administrators. Good managers give employees control over their projects rather than issuing a set of orders and directives. Strong leaders don’t resort to micromanaging employees. As HNIMR keeps an ambitious view in developing a leadership quality in every student there was a session arranged on “Image Building”. The guest speaker of the session Mr.Amit Deokule is the Executive Leadership Coach/ Life Balance and Master Spirit Life Coach/ NLP certified practitioner. In the opening of the session Mr. Deokule mentioned that being Smart is nothing but an art how we can be self-managed. He further explained that how the 3C’s i.e. consistency continuously and constancy “is an important assets to build you image. He also further expounded that the ability to project a leadership presence in the eyes of important constituencies, and the general public is closely related to your ability to do your job well. He further concluded the session by addressing that there is a Necessity to work out on our stress as we all are trapped in this pandemic situation and we all need to try to improve your emotional intelligence which will help you accelerate your life. The session ended with clearing doubts of the students which were answered by the honorable speaker and a vote of thanks.

Day three 30th September 2020 | 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Information skills are essential in business contexts where information is plentiful and selecting and synthesizing that information in decision making provides the competitive advantage. As a MBA aspirant it is very necessary keep track of new trends in recruitment, The rapid growth in undergraduate business education over the last three decades has coincided with the growing dominance of an economic ideology of higher education as this role is principally one of contributing to national competitiveness through the development of graduate ‘employability’. The Training and Placement cell of HNIMR came up with an idea of arranging a session on EMPLOYABILITY AND ACUMEN. Dr. Meetali More Founder- Gurukey Educational Solutions. Secretary -Business Ethics Foundation & Visiting Faculty- B schools. Dr. Meetali More proceeded by quoting “Decision making skills are important not only in perspective of interview but also in your day to day career challenges. She strongly believed that attitude and approach shows your dedication towards your job role and that is why she suggested avoid being a job hopper. She encouraged aspirants greeting the concept of “New Normal Era” performing a group activity can boost you teamwork spirit. Lastly she detained students to have a debate on the fact that “Employability scale has decreased”.
