University of Pune (UoP) and Smt. Hiraben Nanavati Institute of Management and Research for Women (HNIMR), jointly organised Faculty Development Programme on Management Information Systems (subject code: 206) on 06th Feb 2014. The FDP oriented faculty members (71 nos.) from various MBA Institutes, affiliated to UoP, about revised course pattern and course restructure.
The objectives of FDP were:

- Discussing pedagogy
- Brainstorming on concurrent evaluation
- MCQ’s and Sample Question Papers
- Case Study
The programme was inaugurated by esteemed dignitaries, Dr. E.B. Khedkar, Dean, Management Faculty, University of Pune, Dr. Amod Markale, Chairman, Board of Studies, Dr. Shailesh Kasande, Director, VIM , Mr. Purushottam Lele, Chairman, LMC, HNIMR, Dr. Anjali Deshpande, LMC member, HNIMR, Dr. Mukund Tapkir, Head, Research Center, HNIMR and Dr. Jagdish Pol, Director, HNIMR.
The dignitaries emphasized on choice based credit & grading system of MBA course, importance of collaborative learning, need for delivering syllabus with right intentions, and creating eco system for academic excellence.
The resource persons of the FDP were Prof. U.H. Nagarkar, Prof. Umesh Patwardhan, Dr. Sharad Patil, Dr. Anuradha Sarkar, Prof. Shubhada Athawale and Prof. Huma Lone.
