Sangrun Village Visit

On 22nd Sep. 2015, we visited to sangrun village near the Pune city under Community Development Cell (CD Cell) activity. Around 63 students plus faculty members of the institute were involved in this village visit.

This village visit consist of village survey, teaching yoga to Zilha Parishad school students, computer coaching at Zilha Parishad school and giving information to villagers related to various government schemes.

These all activites were runned by HNIMR students under the guidence of institutes faculties. After all this work the students even cooked their meal on chula and enjoyed it under the shadow of tree… it was indeed a fulfilling experience for all.

Certificate Course of Payroll Management

A one day certificate course on “Payroll Management” was organized for MBA HR Major and Minor specialization students on 15h September, 2015.

Mr. Nikhil Konde Founder and Managing Director of Pre-HR – Eighth Innovative Consultants Pvt Ltd. has conducted this workshop. He gave insight on the topics like Introduction to Payroll Management in Industry, Pay structure, Salary Components, Deductions, CTC Designing, salary Breakup etc.

This workshop was very much useful to the HR students for their future and placement as it gave a holistic information on Payroll Management in an organization

Employability Session

Employability session was organised by teachers HR Department of HNIMR College on 22nd and 23rd of September 2015.The venue of this session was HR class room and it was conducted by Mrs Neelam Sharma. Mrs Neelam is owner of HRDS consultancy, Pune. She has in-depth knowledge of HRM and HRD. She was accompanied by Mr Prasad who was responsible for content writing of the whole session.

The two days session covered following topics:-

DAY 1:

  1. Introduction – Answer to the most important question in interview- Tell me about yourself.Tips were given to students regarding the introduction part which is always asked in interview. Body language, posture of a interviewee, communication skills, language barriers and other such small but important details were covered.
  1. SIP Project discussion – Every student was asked about their SIP project. Inputs were given by Ma’am accordingly.
  1. Interests in HR domain:- Every student was asked to share the areas in HR domain which they find most interesting. Inputs were given by ma’am accordingly.
  1. Resume update:-Tips for making an effective resume were given by ma’am. Format of resume was discussed and important details which affect the impression of a person seeing resume were discussed.

DAY 2:

  1. Analysis of Speech:-Every student was asked to talk about the given topic “Organisational Behaviour”. Ma’am analysed each student’s speech and gave remarks accordingly. She also gave tips to make our communication more effective.
  1. One –One Interaction: – Ma’am interacted and cleared doubts of students present in session. The interaction helped us to understand our weaknesses and strengths and tips to develop our core- competencies and tips to work on weaknesses. She also cleared various doubts of questions.

Overall the Two days session was very fruitful, enriching and interactive. It helped us to know where we stand in terms of our knowledge in HR domain and skill sets required to crack interview and be a good Human resource manager further.

I am Thankful to the teachers of HR department who organised this session. It will undoubtedly help us to groom ourselves and shape our-self according to the corporate atmosphere.

Valedictory of ‘Social And Digital Media Marketing Course’

In association with IIM Calcutta, HNIMR successfully organised and hosted a 90 days certificate training course on ‘Social and Digital Media Marketing’. This course received overwhelming response from the participants. Corporates, entrepreneurs and students from different institutes i.e.SP, VIM, MIT, SIIB, HNIMR etc. got their certification in ‘social and digital media’ through this course.

Mrs.Bhavana Bhardwaj, the trainer having 10 + years of experience in social and digital media traveled down from Delhi.

This 3 weeks certificate training was completed on 4th September 2015 with a valedictory function. The participants were highly satisfied with the contents of the course and the inputs given by the trainer.

The inquiries for next series have already started rolling in…………

Inaugration of Marketing Katta

The Marketing Katta “ A plaform for sharing and interacting with the experts from Marketing field” was inaugurated by Mr Samar Nakhate,Ex-Dean FTII & re-knowned cinema artist and Mr. Soham Dadarkar, founder Soham Dadarkar Academy on 9th September 2015. The Marketing Katta will enable the students to gain domain and practical knowledge and necessary skills required in the corporate world. The students of Marketing specialisation performed a skit which set the tone of the event. The audience was entralled by the performance of the students. Mr. Samar Nakhate elaborately spoke about use of cinematic lagauge in MBA education. The technique of movie analysis was also discussed during the session. The event was coordinated by Marketing Department under guidance of Director Dr. Jagdish Pol.

Industrial Trek at Industrial Court and Labour Court

Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s, management college – “Hiraben Nanavati Institute of Management and Research for Women”, did always believed in giving practical exposer to students through ‘Industrial Treks’ and ‘Study visits’ along with conventional classroom teaching.

This time, to improve students’ understanding of statutory compliances and Labour Laws, the institute took them on a ‘Industrial Trek’ at ‘Labour court and Industrial Court’.

This trek was arranged on 8th Sep. 2015, wherein students observed closely the proceedings in Labour and Industrial Court rooms. Mr.Wagh – The Investigation Officer oriented students briefly on the processes at the ‘Labour Court’.

Advocate Rajesh Shaligram – President of BAR council, Labour Court Pune addressed students and explained the work at ‘Labour Court and Industrial Court’ .

  1. Enforcement of various Labour Laws.

  2. Role of HR in minimising the Labour disputes.

These visits gave conceptual clarity to students.

Industrial Trek at ESI Corporation

On 19th Aug. 2015 HNIMR girls were at the regional office of ‘The Employee State Insurance Corporation’ for a industrial trek.

Mr.Manish Kumar, Deputy Director – ESIC oriented students on the provisions of ‘The Employee State Insurance Act’, why it is needed and the applicability of the provisions of the act.

He gave tips to our ‘future HR managers – our HR specialisation students’ about practical criticalities while dealing with cases of ‘insured person’ under ESI.

He also briefed students about the current and future initiatives which ESIC is taking towards reducing the complexities of processes and improving facilities at the ESIC hospitals.
