Students participation and achievement in UoP’s Avishkar 2013

A research project competition ‘AVISHKAR 2013’ unique in its nature is being implemented through Board of College and University Development (BUCD).University of Pune takes efforts to increase the participation of the students for Avishkar 2013.

Ms. RUCHA MADHAV DESHPANDE and Mrs. SHILPA SUDHANSHU GHUBE students from our institute participated in this competition with the said topic under the General Management Category. The Zonal Level Competition was organised on 18th December 2013 by the BUCD at ‘Indira Institute, Wakad’. In the First Round the students displayed their posters of 1m X 1m size before a panel of judges appointed for the purpose. Each oral presentation was given 8 minutes for presentation and 2 minutes for question and answers.

Three Research Projects from the General Management Category were selected for University level i.e. STAGE-II on the same day. Our Research Project was selected for the University level.


Special training Workshop was conducted on 23rd December 2013 for the selected projects at Pune University Campus as guidance to enhance the abilities to present the research work in an effective manner. This activity generated a lot of enthusiasm in the students.

Student’s Participation in ‘Jagriti Yatra’

Ms. Sharvari Hole, MBA I student is selected for “Jagriti Yatra’.

Jagriti Yatra is an ambitious train journey of discovery and transformation that takes hundreds of ISharvaro Hole - Tata Jagruti Yatrandia’s highly motivated youth, especially those who are from small towns and villages of India, on a 15 day, 8000 km national odyssey to meet the role models – social and business entrepreneurs – of the country. The vision of Jagriti is ‘building India through enterprise’.


Jagriti Yatra is set up under a non-profit charitable organisation Jagriti Sewa Sansthan and is headquartered in Mumbai. Jagriti Sewa Sansthan is based in Deoria, Uttar Pradesh and focuses on skill-development.
